For plaque psoriasis and atopic dermatitis most patients will begin to notice improvement in itching and flaking within 4-5 treatments. Significant improvement is often seen after 10 treatments, with clearance in 10 – 20 treatments depending on the severity of your plaques.
For vitiligo repigmentation is typically noticed between 20-30 treatments, though repigmentation has been seen in as few as 11 treatments.
No, most patients feel no pain or discomfort during the treatment. Some patients, however, experience a reaction afterwards similar to a sunburn or blistering at the site of the treated area that will only last a couple of days.
XTRAC is performed 2 – 3 times a week in our office. Our providers can discuss with you the best treatment program that fits your needs.
All major insurance companies and Medicare provide coverage for the XTRAC laser treatments, which will typically be your standard co-pay or deductible costs.
